Carp are a pest in Australia and their ability to adapt to any environment has seen them take over every waterway they inhabit. It is said that 80% of the river biomass is made up of Carp!

These figures are terrible and something needs to happen. This video is taken in early spring and captures the Carp breeding and the amount of fish we can see is disgusting!

‘They are destroying our rivers and affecting our native populations.’

The great news is the National Carp Control Plan is in place and Matt Barwick and his team are doing some great work with the Carp herpes virus. It is a massive but important task and we all need to get behind it and support the plan. We need to erase Carp from our Australian waters and help natives come back!
