This footage was filmed of a monster Murray Cod that was free swimming around a big log in less than 2 foot of water. It had to be well over 120cm from our guess. We watched this fish circle the log at least 4 times in crystal clear water. It was mid morning with full sunlight and the cods back had to break the waters surface to get around the log.
Something we have never seen before! We thought the big cod was guarding a nest of eggs but after further inspection there was no nest to be seen. Later that night we returned to the same location to find the fish doing the exact same thing.
